Afraid to stand out
I analyzed this photo in my art class this morning. What do you think it means? A couple of meanings I pulled from it were these: -This chair wanted to stand out, to be different, than the rest of the chairs, so it had to do something different in order to be noticed. -The contrast of darks and lights, as well as the look of abandonment of these chairs made me think that these chairs have been there for awhile, and the one that fell over was tired of having to rise up to expectations or having to be exactly like everyone else. -Sometimes we have to do hard things or odd things in order to be doing the right things or standing up for what we believe in. No matter what you get from this photo, any of the interpretations are right. The one I want to touch on in this post is standing out to be different.
