Agency

Hey followers (and new readers if this is your first time...),
I know it's been awhile. I've been working like crazy and trying to stay on top of life. A lot of it comes done to what I'm going to write about. So, keep reading for a better inside scoop.
I've been thinking a lot lately about making choices and how we make them every day. Some are big decisions, but most are the small choices that make up every part of every day.
The big choices after graduating high school are:
  • what school to go to
  • where to live
  • what kind of people to associate with
  • how you're going to earn an income
  • what major to go into
  • who to date
  • who to marry
  • the kind of person you want to be.
The small choices are important too, whether you:
  • take care of your body
    • sleep
    • food
    • health
    • teeth, hair, skin, etc.
  • stay in tune with the Spirit
    • reading your scriptures
    • praying
    • home teaching/visiting teaching
    • fulfilling your calling
  • be a good roommate
  • keep your apartment clean
  • have a social life
  • develop talents/hobbies
  • get to know people
  • date
  • work
  • do homework
  • how you spend your time
These are just a few of many things we, especially as college students, have to worry about. I just find it interesting as we make the big decisions, or some small decisions that have an impact on our life's path, we want Heavenly Father to tell us exactly what we should do. But most of the time He won't because we fought in the pre-existence for our agency, the ability to make choices. Now we want Him to tell us what we should do? Ha. I don't think so. We, including myself, just have to work on asking for guidance and assurance more than anything.
As you make your daily choices, remember that when you are being indecisive, Heavenly Father gave us the opportunity, and even though it's frustrating, it's better to have to make choices, even when they're hard, than to not at all.
