Here we go again...hear those school bells ring

Grab a notebook, pen and your backpack, and possibly some breakfast if you're lucky, before you run out the door. Trying to find the right classroom and the right building, meeting new people, and adding a load of stress onto your shoulders. Welcome back to school!
I've been in school for a few weeks, but let me tell ya, it's been an interesting ride getting here. Don't get me wrong, I love school, especially college. UVU is very, Very different from Snow College, for many reasons. The campus is HUGE in comparison to Snow. It takes me 10 minutes just to walk over to campus from my apartment, where in Ephraim, it took those same 10 minutes to walk half-way if not around the entire campus. And there are So Many People! 34,000, to be more accurate. Living in Orem is also very different. Paying rent, people all over the place all of the time, places to go, things to do, stuff to buy, more people to see, boys to date, activities to go to....the list feels endless! Luckily, I feel blessed to not have to play the dating game in trying to get dates, even though there are so many more opportunities here in "Happy Valley". But let me also say this- I am NOT engaged, and do not plan on getting married for quite awhile.
So that's how adjusting to fall life in Orem has been. It was really great to be here during the summer and somewhat adjust to the size of things, instead of going into a college culture shock to move here.
With my classes, I am really loving them! I am just hoping I am staying on track to really graduate in 2 years. I am kind of worried, especially since I was checking and I have to take some accounting classes for my minor, and another science class??? I thought I was done, and so I am kind of bummed, but I will make it through somehow. "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." ~Phillippians 4:13.
Now, sometimes....I wonder if some people become college professors just because they want to get up and talk. They ramble on and on about what they have done or what they think they know. There are select few who are like this, but they make a world of difference in my life because they create boredom! Okay, you are supposed to say that professors make a world of difference in your life because they inspire change and a love for the subject they are teaching. This is true as well, but these boring professors make a difference, too, just not in the same way. Some of them really stink, actually, as teachers. How do they get hired? There needs to be more professors that are those top-notch, awe-inspiring people that blow their students away with enthusiasm and an increased love for learning.
Well...that's all for now, dear friends and readers. I have to run to class here soon, but I will hopefully get pictures up of my UVU adventures soon.
Here are my last words of encouragement for the day from my amazing bishop, Bishop Spencer, and his mother:
1. Word hard.
2. Always do your best.
3. Remember you are loved.

My name is Janessa, and I approve this blog post. :)
