Oakcrest has changed my life

I went to a "farewell" on Sunday of one of the sisters I worked with at Oakcrest girls' camp during the summer of 2010. It has made me think a lot back to that summer and why it was such an amazing experience. I was also talking to my bishop that night to receive some counsel and the things he said reminded me of our theme from that summer. That is why I dedicate this blog post to Oakcrest. I wrote about it in another post  back in May , but this time I want to talk about what the theme means to me. Here is a link to listen to the theme song from 2010. Why I love UVU

First of all....Happy New Year! Can you believe it's 2012? Disclaimer: No, I don't believe the world is going to end. Too many other great things have to happen before the end of the world can happen. End of story. Now.... Do you want to know why I love being a student at UVU? Well, I never thought this was possible, but I do! I love how small the class sizes are. I love the Communication Department. I love the professors. They really try and get to know you and are actually concerned about your welfare and how you are doing in their class. There are lots of people to meet and lots of ways you can get involved. I love finding familiar faces, even among the mass of faces to see no matter where you walk. I also never thought I would like living in "Happy Valley", but it's a really fun place to be at. So many things to do, places to go, people to meet.... I know I was supposed to come to UVU. It's been a great experience. Lots of people think that UVU is ...
