Motivation

I have been having a REALLY  hard time getting myself to do my homework lately. It might be because the amount of stuff I have to do it overwhelming or because some of it is really hard. I just have had a lack of motivation to get a better start than the last minute on my homework. I have a LOT to think about all of the time. I don't know why I avoid doing stuff when I know I need to. I am a really good procrastinator. Mixing that with no motivation is not a good thing. What is motivation, anyway?  Dictionary.com definitions: motivate - "to stimulate toward action" motivation - "the act or an instance of motivating, or providing with a reason to act in a certain way" Well, as you know me or hopefully know me, I also looked it up on LDS.org. Tender Mercies

Every time I see a penny on the ground, I pick it up and say a prayer of gratitude for a tender mercy Heavenly Father sent me. That may seem odd to you, but when I was at Oakcrest, we had this staff devotional once about remembering the small things, especially the little blessings or tender mercies in our lives. Every time we had even the smallest blessing in our day, we could go to one of the directorship, tell them our tender mercy, and put a penny in a jar.  I have started doing that in my life, but the pennies come from finding them during my day. I seem to find one just when I need to be humbled about my circumstances, when I've been going through something really difficult, or when I need it the most to remind me how blessed I am.  I found the coolest penny the other day. I have been going through a lot lately, and this penny I found was almost completely black and beat up. When I saw it, I wasn't even sure that it was a penny, but sure enough it was. ...
