His Will is Much Better than Mine
Hello again! It's been way too long since I wrote about life besides my tribute to Mom. Wow. Second of all, Blogger has changed things since I've last been here, so it's a little weird getting used to.
Well. I have a lot that has happened in the last few months.
Where to begin.
All I know is that Heavenly Father's plan for me is much better than my own plan. I tried with all of my might to make things happen the way that I wanted them to. They weren't working out. As soon as I just let things start happening despite what I wanted, they all just started fitting into place.
I wasn't planning on staying at University Towers for the summer. I am still here. I finally got all of my classes and my schedule figured out for next year to be able to graduate next spring. Holy cow, am I really that old?! I am almost a college graduate?!?! Wow. Seriously!
Also, I have never worked a job at minimum wage but when I walked into Zupas a few weeks ago, they basically handed me the job, also telling me it's more of a long-term position than just a summer thing. Was I planning on this? No, not at all. I have never worked in the food industry until I got my job at UVU Concessions in March and now at Zupas a few weeks ago.
A bunch of my co-workers keep asking how old I am and when I tell them I'm almost a senior in college they are blown away. Part of me feels really dumb for my age and just starting, but the other part of me really likes my new job and some of the people I work with. I feel like I have lots of different experience under my belt now, something that I didn't have when I first started looking for jobs back in January.
I don't know why things happen the way they do. But I'm grateful for it.
I am really excited for the things ahead and hope they all work out like I want them to, but I also understand that Heavenly Father's way of making things work often is better than mine. It's been really hard for me to accept that fact, however, I know that it will all be worth it in the end.
Here's to my adventures this summer and for the next year to come! Huzzah!

(Next time I will look like this, I will be in green and with a Bachelor's degree in hand!!!)
